To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I am writing concerning the sad news of the closing of North Adams Regional Hospital, hospice and the Visiting Nurses Association. When my husband was ill, David Blanchette was our lifeline. I don’t think I could have survived without his help. Ken loved David and looked forward to his visits and wonderful care.
The staff at hospice not only cared for him but made sure I was OK too. Visiting nurses came in every day to help. What are the elderly going to do without these wonderful people?
