NORTH ADAMS — Ericka Oleson and Miranda Bona have been named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Drury High School Class of 2009. Both will speak at graduation ceremonies at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 5, in the school gymnasium.

Oleson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Einar Oleson of 48 Oleson Road, Florida. At Drury, she has been a member of the cross country team, the Nu Sigma and Pro Merito Honor Societies, and a recipient of the Principal's Award.

She has participated in the Hoosic River Community Service Learning Project and represented Drury at Gov. Duval Patrick's inauguration speech. This year, she was chosen as the September Elk Student of the Month.

Bona is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bona of 112 Wood Road, Clarksburg.

At Drury, Bona has been a member of the varsity soccer and varsity track teams, Ski Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Drury SPIRIT, Freshman Buddy Program, Student Council, Senior Tribute Committee, Hoosic River Community Service Learning Project, Yearbook staff, Prom Committee, Nu Sigma and Pro Merito Honor Societies, and a School Board student representative.

She has been the recipient of the Principal's Award, Williams College Book Award, Mass. Women in Sports Distinguished Service Award, Mass. Student Athlete Citizenship Award, and the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award.
