From today through Saturday, The Eagle will publish the most notable entries from the Pittsfield Police log. The logs will comprise five days' worth of information. For Sunday, Jan. 20:
-- 12:02 a.m.: Police arrest Luis D. Hoose, 31, of 8 Chatham St., on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
-- 2:20 a.m.: Matthew W. White, 21, of 283 First St., is arrested on an assault and battery charge.
-- 5:56 a.m.: Police arrest Russell O. Whitlock, 44, of 53 1/2 Orchard St., on two charges of domestic assault and battery and a single count of witness intimidation.
-- 8:34 a.m.: Robert D. Smith, 34, of 40 King St., is arrested after a traffic stop on South Street. He is charged with driving with a revoked license as a subsequent offense and also with speeding in a work zone.
-- 9:01 p.m.: Police arrest Joseph M. Drake, 44, of 168 Hinsdale Road in Dalton, on a charge of larceny over $250 for allegedly shoplifting from the Walmart on Hubbard Road.
-- 9:49 p.m.: Eric J. Sprague, 41, of 1321 North St., is arrested after a traffic stop on East Street and charged with second-offense drunken driving and improper operation of a motor vehicle.
-- 9:53 p.m.: A 16-year-old girl is arrested and charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, attempt to commit murder by choking, threat to commit murder, and resisting arrest after a mother-daughter domestic disturbance on Francis Avenue. Police would release no other details.
