PITTSFIELD -- Submissions are being sought for the third annual 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival -- 11 days of art, dance, film, music, theater, spoken word and performance art -- Feb. 13 through 23, 2014 in Pittsfield's Upstreet District.

Submission deadline is
Nov. 15.

All programs must relate to the festival's theme, "10," and occur within the Upstreet District -- Housatonic to Linden street and First to Center street -- during the festival dates.

Signature events include 10x10 New Play Festival at Barrington Stage Company; Ten Spot art show at Lichtenstein Center for the Arts; a festival of short films at Beacon Cinema; Ten Days of Play at Berkshire Museum; and Berkshire Art Association's 10x10 art auction featuring 10-inch-by-10-inch works by area artists.

Proposals may be submitted by email to cultural@pittsfieldch.com or dropped off at or mailed to Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Ave.

Submissions should include a one-page description of the project including whether it will be free or ticketed, the location, and whether it is proposed or confirmed; bios of key performers, artists or personnel; images or links to videos, if appropriate; and a list of similar projects in which the project submittor has been involved.

According to 10x10 producers, more than 480 artists participated in last year's festival and over 300 works were created specifically for 10x10.
