PITTSFIELD -- Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger will star in the Berkshire premiere of Sharr White’s "The Other Place," kicking off Barrington Stage Company’s 20th anniversary season May 21 through June 14 on the St. Germain Stage. BSC associate artist Christopher Innvar will direct.

Press opening is May 25.

Helgenbereger will play Juliana Smithton, a successful neurologist whose life seems to be coming unhinged. Her husband has filed for divorce, her daughter has eloped with a much older man, and her own health is in jeopardy. But nothing is as it seems as fact blurs with fiction, past collides with present, and the elusive truth about Juliana boils to the surface.

"The Other Place" received its world premiere Off-Broadway at MCC Theatre and had its Broadway premiere at Manh-
attan Theatre Club with Joe Mantello directing and Laurie Metcalf starring. White’s other plays include "Annapurna" (which is being produced at Chester Theatre Company in July), "Sunlight," "Six Years" and "Achilles in Sparta."

Ticket information is available through the BSC box office at (413) 236-8888; online at barringtonstageco.org; or in person at 30 Union St.
