Builders Association offers courses Feb. 5
The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts will sponsor a two hour CSL Continuing Education Course on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School.
The topic is the IRC 8th edition 780 CMR Code for Framing. The class takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served from 5 to 5:30.
The cost is $50 for association members, and $70 for nonmembers. Enrollment is limited.
The course has been approved by the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations & Standards for one hour of code review, and one hour of elective education for a total of two hours. The Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations & Standards requires all Con-struction Supervisor License holders to have a specific number of continuing education credits (depending on what type of license they have) in order to renew their license every two years.

Berkshire Business & Professional Women has scheduled a speak-off among the competitors in its Young Careerist Competition for its dinner meeting on Monday, Feb. 4 at Cranwell Resort.
The competitors will be interviewed by a panel of judges beforehand and will speak to the group on a topic related to working women.
Networking takes place from 5:30 to 6 p.m., followed by the dinner/speaker

Miss Hall’s receives
Miss Hall’s School has received a bronze award for its 2011-12 Annual Fund Brochures in the fundraising materials category of the 2013 CASE District 1 Communication Awards. This is the second year that Miss Hall’s has received a CASE Award.
The brochures, titled "One Voice Stronger -- One Step Further," were produced by Miss Hall’s school publications office that is overseen by Brian M. Majewski.
The only other independent school to receive a bronze medal in Miss Hall’s category was Deerfield Academy.
Miss Hall’s will receive its award on Wednesday at the CASE District 1 Conference in Boston.
