Genre: WPA is an 'expandable collective with Luke Bulla (Lyle Lovett), Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek) and Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket) at its core.' The group is independent and without a label.
Songwriter Phillips founded alternative rock band Toad the Wet Sprocket in 1986 and toured with the group until 1998, creating hits from 'Walk on the Ocean' to 'Something's Always Wrong.' Watkins has played mandolin and guitar with Nickel Creek, who have released three albums and won a grammy for 'This Side.' He has released three solo albums as well, moving from contemporary bluegrass to indie rock.
Bulla has been bowing the strings since, at age 10, he became the youngest contestant to finish among the top 10 in the Grand Master Fiddler Championship in Nashville, Tenn.
