This year, the Bennington Museum took an extended winter break to re-create many of its galleries. The museum will celebrate Community Day on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 75 Main st., with free admission for all.
Among the new shows, "Faces of Bennington, 1972-1978: Photographs by John Hubbard" will show more than 25 photographs chosen from a group of more than 2000 works. As a sports reporter and photographer at the Bennington Banner, Hubbard (1949-2010) made formal and informal portraits of people he met in the Bennington area during the 1970s.
Visitors will also find the Student Art Show, a wall drawing by Jarvis Rockwell, "What's the Color of Love?" works by Karl Mullen and "Boundaries in Flux: Recent Acquisitions of Self-Taught Artists." (802) 447-1571, benningtonmuseum.org
