Returning to Spring Street this July, Summer Sundays will offer art, activities and fun for the young and young at heart. From 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays in July, participants will experience an array of musical performances, unique street performers, art activities and more.

Some of the activities for the Sundays include performances by local favorites Blueberry Buckle, Rosin the Beau and David Bartley Jazz , Cass Cleghorne and other local artist. Otha Day will bring his drumming circle to Spring Street and the creation of a mobile mural by The Progressive Palette will begin.

In addition, IS 183 will be on-hand to create art with attendees. Puppeteer Gordon Holey, of The Puppet Brigade, will offer larger than life puppet shows and a workshop on puppet creation. Fun Enterprises will be on the scene to create fun that fits with our movie theme of the week.Pony rides will be available as a fundraising effort by Bonnie Lea Farm's equestrian team, so saddle up!

There will be no shortage of good eats during Summer Sundays! There will be a hot dog cart with dogs & fixings for purchase. Additionally, many local restaurants will be open with dinner specials and boxed/to-go items that can be enjoyed on the many green spaces while enjoying the sights and sounds of Summer Sundays.

And new to Summer Sundays this year, yoga by Tasha Yoga will begin at 7pm on the Morgan Lawn (top of Spring Street). Attendees should dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket to maximize their experience.

Beginning at dusk, Images Cinema will present Family Flicks under the stars on the Morgan Lawn. The featured films will include: "A Hard Day's Night" (July 6), "Casablanca" (July 13), "Mary Poppins" (July 20) and "Jurassic Park" (July 27). Movie goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Concessions will be available for sale.

The Sunday events will be cancelled if there is inclement weather. However, the Family Flicks will show regardless of the weather; their location will be moved to Images Cinema (located at 50 Spring Street).
