It seems like every fall we say, "Where did the summer go?"

For us, it went to 18 Berkshire Cottages alongside our funny, tireless and filled-with-interesting-facts tour guide Jennifer Huberdeau, otherwise known as the Cottager. The summer went to fan-favorites, like Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Mass., the Bennington Museum in Vermont and Tanglewood's lawn. It took us to some new, exciting summer musts, like roller derby bouts and even a professional wrestling ring.

It's been a busy summer for Berkshires Week & the Shires of Vermont, and in turn, we hope it was for you. We hope we filled your summer days with family fun, entertainment and countless things to do and new places to experience.

But like the Ramble is a sure sign of fall in the Berkshires, so is the last edition of BWSV for the season. Before you begin to dread the coming winter months void of anything to do, know this region never sleeps and neither does its cultural institutions. You can still find plenty of things to do to fill your fun quota in our daily arts and entertainment coverage in the newspaper and online. And before you know it, it will be May and BWSV will be back with a brand new Summer Previews to help you plan your summer of 2017.

And before you'll know it, you'll be saying "Where did the summer go, again?"

We can't wait to find out. Until then, keep reading, keep exploring and stay warm.
