Berkshires: Edward Jones gains top rank

The Edward Jones financial services firm, which has three offices in Berkshire County, was ranked highest in investor satisfaction with full-service brokerage firms, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Full Service Investor Satisfaction Study.

This is the sixth time in the past eight years that Edwards Jones has ranked highest in that category in this study. The firm’s overall score was 15 points higher than last year, and 28 points over the industry average. It was the highest among the 14 firms that were rated.

The study measures overall investor satisfaction with full service investment firms based on seven factors: investment adviser, investment performance, account information, account offerings, commissions and fees, and website and problem resolution. Edward Jones also received high marks in the account information category.

Headquartered in St. Louis, Edward Jones operates Berkshire County offices in Adams, North Adams and Pittsfield.
