Manufacturing-career
grants being offered
MassDevelopment is accepting applications for matching grants to eligible organizations that will create innovative programs to educate students and the adults in their lives about career options in advanced manufacturing.
Eligible applicants must be Massachusetts-based nonpro fit organizations that work with students between the ages of 10 and 19. The application deadline is Thursday. The grant awards will be made around Dec. 15.

Kolodziej is named
Sanitarian of Year
Peter Kolodziej, the former director of the Tri-Town Health Dept. in Lee, has been named Sanitarian of the Year by the Massachusetts Environmental Health Asso.
He was presented with the Robert Perriello Memorial Award for Excellence in the field of environmental health by the Region 9 affiliate of the National Environmental Health Association during its annual Yankee Conference that was held in Groton, Conn.
A resident of Leeds, Kolod ziej retired from Tri-Town in 2011 after 37 years of service. He currently serves as the part-time health agent for the towns of Monterey and Otis.
