Pittsfield: The Brien Center confirms new CEO
The Brien Center's board of directors voted unanimously to confirm Christine Macbeth as the center's chief executive officer at their October meeting. Macbeth had been serving as The Brien Center's interim CEO since January.
"This was the best outcome we could have hoped for. Ms. Macbeth has done an outstanding job as interim CEO and previously as assistant executive officer," board President Thomas Stokes said.
Macbeth joined The Brien Center as assistant executive officer in 2010. In that role she had direct responsibility for human resources, programmatic and clinical operations, liaising with funding sources and quality management. The board asked Macbeth to serve as interim CEO in December 2011 following the resignation of then CEO Catherine Doherty.
