Pittsfield: Osborne to head Board of Realtors
Barbara A. Osborne was installed as the 2013 president of the Berkshire County Board of Realtors on Jan. 31 at a ceremony held at the Country Club of Pittsfield.
The broker/owner of Ashmere Realty in Hinsdale, Osborne was first elected to serve on the board in 2008. She will lead the organization in providing professional services to real estate agents in the region.
Osborne will also serve as a Berkshire County representative on the board of directors of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, and as a liaison to state committees. She will be a representative in national meetings for Realtor Day on Capital Hill, Beacon Hill and at the National Conference.
Osborne, who has 17 years of real estate experience, has earned her Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), GREEN Certification, and Loss Mitigation Certification (LMC); and is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI). Ashmere Realty is approaching its 11th anniversary
She is also a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, the Pioneer Valley Board of Realtors, the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, the Berkshire Visitors Bureau, Berkshire Business and Professional Women, the Civitan Club of Pittsfield, and the Colonial Carriage and Driving Society.
Pittsfield: BMC Cancer Program earns honors
Berkshire Medical Center's Cancer Program has
This is the third consecutive three-year accreditation with commendation that BMC's Cancer Program has received. The program also received two outstanding achievement awards from the commission in the only two years that BMC was eligible to receive them.
The hospital demonstrated a commendation level in compliance with all standards that represent the full scope of the cancer program, including cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services, research, community outreach and quality improvement. BMC also achieved compliance ratings for all other standards.
There are currently more than 1,500 Commission on Cancer-accredited cancer programs in the US and Puerto Rico, representing about 30 percent of all hospitals.
