Zonta Club names Erin Sullivan guest speaker
Erin Sullivan of Hospice of the Berkshires will be the guest speaker when the Zonta Club of Berkshire County meets on Monday at Mazzeo's Ristorante, 1015 South St.
The event begins at 5 p.m. It will include a brief networking session, a business meeting, then Sullivan's presentation followed by dinner. Sullivan will speak on the "Sandwich Generation." Zonta International is a worldwide service organization working to advance the status of women. Guests are welcome at all meetings, but reservations are required for dinner.
Chamber Nite event is at new bank branch
The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Chamber Nite event on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Berkshire Bank's new full-service branch at 99 North St. Networking takes place from 5 to 7 p.m.

Former editor starts EGLahr Communications
Ellen G. Lahr has established EGLahr Communications, a strategic communications consulting firm that serves clients in both the Berkshires and New York's Capital Region.
A former business editor of The Berkshire Eagle, Lahr established the business to fill a perceived need for communications and public relations consulting for clients in finance, higher education, technology and general business. She spent more than 20 years at The Eagle before transitioning to a career in higher education public relations in 2008.
In addition to providing internal and external communications services, she works with business executives to develop speeches, blogs, editorial commentary and other communications; she also develops new and updated editorial content for websites. She also conducts workshops on internal and crisis communications for business groups and individual organizations.
