BOSTON -- Associated Industries of Massachusetts is accepting nominations for its 2013 Global Trade Awards, which recognize state firms, institutions and public agencies of all sizes that have demonstrated excellence in international trade.
The nominations include a category for globally owned companies that have positively impacted the Massachusetts economy.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 8.

Winning entries should demonstrate one or more of the following:
n Increasing or retaining jobs in Massachusetts by entering into international markets;
n Demonstrating new or creative solutions to the import/export challenges;
n Producing or adapting a product line or service for a foreign market;
n Establishing alliances or partnerships to increase international business;
n Investing in infrastructure or manufacturing in Massachusetts to enhance trade.
The 2013 award winners will be honored at AIM’s 98th annual meeting on Friday, May 10 in Waltham.
