Lenox: Providence Care Center deficiency free
Providence Care Center has earned a perfect, deficiency-free survey from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for the second year in a row.
To receive such a survey, skilled nursing facilities must successfully complete a rigorous evaluation for compliance with federal and state standards regarding staffing levels, quality of care, safety, food services and cleanliness of facilities.
DPH surveys are unannounced and conducted by health care professionals such as registered nurses and social workers. The center is evaluated annually by DPH.
The most recent evaluation spanned three days and included a tour of the care center, the review of resident charts, and interviews with administrators and staff. This evaluation marks the fourth time the facility has achieved a deficiency-free survey.
