PITTSFIELD -- Cathy Briggs has joined the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce as accounting clerk and member support representative while Kathy Quinn has joined the organization as executive administrative
assistant.

Briggs will split her time between the Chamber and 1Berkshire maintaining book-keeping responsibilities, producing monthly financial reports, and assisting in member relations.

Quinn will also work for the Chamber and 1Berkshire providing high level administrative support, including coordinating board communications, serving as a key contact for the community, and assisting in the management of the Central Station.

"This is a great opportunity to bring my expertise in the area of accounting while expanding my knowledge in other areas," Briggs said. "I am excited to be with the Chamber as it grows."

Briggs comes to the Chamber from Berkshire Bank and previously Legacy Banks, where she served as an accounting clerk processing accounts payable, preparing reports for senior staff, regulatory agencies, and auditors. Briggs also serves as the treasurer for the town of Washington and enjoys skiing, hiking, and rollerblading.

"Public service has been instilled in my family for generations," Quinn said. "At the Chamber and 1Berkshire, I will be able to continue working with our wonderful community while working with the remarkable staff at the Central Station."

Quinn joins the Chamber folllowing a career in municipal and state government. She served as a key administrative staff member under former Pittsfield Mayor James M. Ruberto, and former state Rep. Christopher N. Speranzo, D-Pittsfield. She is also involved with the international exchange program at St. Joseph Central High School, serves on several local boards, and is an avid supporter of the arts.
