Lee Bank has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s lender of the quarter in Massachusetts.
SBA Regional Administrator Seth Goodall and Massachusetts District Director Robert Nelson presented the award at a special event that was held at the bank on Thursday.
During the quarter from April 1 to June 30, Lee Bank had seven SBA loan approvals, bringing its total number of loan approvals to 13 worth $702,000 in fiscal year-to-date 2013 (which runs from Oct. 1 to June 30).

The bank’s lending activity through June 30 increased more than 500 percent from the previous fiscal year.
