Flynn named to two posts at BDC Capital
Paul M. Flynn Jr., a former senior vice president at Berkshire Bank, has been named executive vice president of BDC Capital and chief operating officer of New England Certified Development Corp., the company’s SBA 504 lending affiliate.
His role will include strategic development and oversight of both internal operations and new business development throughout New England.
Prior to joining BDC Capital, Flynn served as senior vice president of Berkshire Bank, ABL department manager of TD Bank, and senior vice president of Banknorth. He began his banking career at BayBank in 1986. A graduate of Fairfield University, Flynn earned an MBA at Babson College.
Flynn is a member of the National Commercial Finance Association and the Association for Corporate Growth, and is a past president of the Turnaround Management Association’s Northeast Chapter.
Educational summit offered to contractors
The Home Builders & Remodelers Associations of Western and Central Mass. will be conducting a two-day educational summit that will allow contractors to take an array of BBRS-approved educational programs to fulfill their continuing education requirements to renew their CSL license.
The event takes place on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 at the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge. This summit differs from other programs in the area because contractors are allowed to choose from a list of courses taught by a panel of industry experts.
Those interested may attend one day or both days depending on their educational requirements and time constraints.
