Pittsfield: Special lunch with governor Nov. 12
The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will host a special luncheon with Gov. Deval Patrick on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Patrick will address the local business community and discuss the current administration's efforts to expand growth and opportunity across the state. He will also takes questions from the audience.
The hours are 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public. Individual tickets are $45 for Berkshire Chamber members, and $55 for nonmembers. The cost includes a plated lunch. Tables of eight are also available. Seating is limited and advance registration is required.
Springfield: Home builders to hold classes
The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts will be conducting CSL Continuing Education Classses on Thursday, Dec. 12 and Thursday, Dec. 19 at its headquarters at 240 Cadwell Drive in Springfield.
Attendees can earn up to six CEU's by attending an individual day session consisting of three two-hour classes, or earn all 12 CEUs by attending both days.
All of the classes have been approved by the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations & Standards. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all one day attendees.
The cost for a one day session is $179 for members/$279 for nonmembers. The cost for two days is $249 for members/$349 for nonmembers. The cost for individual courses is $65 for each member/$95 for each nonmember. Space is limited.
Springfield: Voiceovers course offered at college
Springfield Technical College is offering a voice-overs course that will take place on Thursday, Dec. 12. The hours are 6 to 9 p.m.
The course will explore numerous aspects of voiceover work for television, film, radio, books on tape, documentaries and the Internet. Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
