Williamstown: Bruce Berti named CFO at Dion
Bruce Berti has been appointed chief financial officer and director of human resources at Dion Money Management, the company has announced.
As a skilled accounting professional with more than 20 years of accounting experience, Berti began his career at Dion in 2005 as senior vice president and controller. Prior to joining Dion Money Management, he was the accounting manager at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort.
At Dion, Berti's responsibilities include overseeing all accounting functions, strategic planning, corporate development, and controlling the proper use of funds in accordance with federal and state regulations. In his new role as director of human resources, Berti will be responsible for the efficient operation of company's human resources department. He will supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits and talent development.
Berti earned a bachelor of arts degree from North Adams State College in 1987. He resides in Cheshire.
Pittsfield: Engineers to hold networking meeting
The Berkshire Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers will hold a networking dinner meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Patrick's Pub, 26 Bank Row.
Sales consultant Paul Hutchinson will present, "Tips on What it Takes to Succeed -- Essential Skills for Consultants and Engineers."
Informal networking and cocktails begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7, then the presentation. Members of the public, consultants and IEEE members are welcome to attend.
Dinner is $20 per person for IEEE members, and $40 for nonmembers. The presentation is free.
