Pittsfield: Bank begins ‘Season of Giving’
Berkshire Bank is kicking off its second annual "Season of Giving" holiday campaign in which bank employees will complete a variety of community service related projects throughout the financial institution’s coverage area.
More than 200 Berkshire employees are expected to participate in the campaign. All the projects benefit nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Vermont.
Several Berkshire Bank branch offices and departments will be adopting children and families in partnershp with the Department of Children and Families Pittsfield office which serves all of Berkshire County. The Berkshire Bank Foundation will honor 28 local food pantries at an event on Dec. 17.
Lenox: Visitors Bureau board elects members
Michele Kotek of the Red Lion Inn, Van Shields of the Berkshire Museum and Scott Shortt of the Kemble Inn were elected to the Berkshire Visitors Bureau’s board of directors at the BVB’s annual meeting and marketing showcase at Cranwell Resort, Spa & Golf Club. The BVB will also be doing a monthlong branding campaign on Pandora Radio in the spring. This is the first such campaign that any Massachusetts region will use in 2014, and is intended to put the Berkshire message out to more than 4 million listeners in the New York City and Boston markets.
Lenox: Home builders assoc. to hold classes
The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Berkshire County will be conducting CSL Continuing Education Classes on Jan. 9, Feb. 13 and March 6 at the auditorium in Lenox Town Hall.
Attendees can earn up to 6 CEUs by attending an individual day session consisting of three 2-hour classes. All of the classes have been approved by the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations & Standards.
Fees for the classes are as follows: One day only: $179/member, $279/nonmember; Two days only: $249/member, $349/nonmember; Individual course: $65/member, $95/nonmember.
