WILLIAMSTOWN -- F. Andrus Burr and Ann K. McCallum of Burr and McCallum Architects have been inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame.
Their firm was one of two architecture firms that were inducted at the unveiling ceremony, and further celebrated at a dinner and awards ceremony that took place at the State Room in Boston.
The annual awards program was created seven years ago to honor the work and careers of industry leaders who have made the most significant impact on residential design in New England.
The 2013 selection committee included Ted Landsmark, president of the Boston Architectural College; John Fondas, interior designer & consultant; and Kyle Hoepner, editor-in-chief of New England Home; among others.
The work of Burr and McCallum Architects has been honored nationally and internationally since the inception of the company in 1982. In addition to features in Boston Home Magazine, Design New England, Country Living, and other publications, the firm has received multiple awards including the Boston Society of Architects Excellence in Design, the Western Massachusetts AIA Merit Award, the Residential Design + Build Design Excellence Award, the Builders Choice Design & Planning Award, and Architectural Record's Record Houses. The firm was also featured in the November-December issue of New England Home Magazine.
Burr and McCallum's work can be seen throughout Berkshire County and beyond in both area houses and commercial endeavors.
