Lee: National Engineers Week dinner slated

The Berkshire Section of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers will hold a National Engineers Week dinner meeting on Thursday, Feb. 20. at the Cork n’ Hearth Restaurant.

Louis A. Luceri, a Life Senior Member of the IEEE will present "Life Members, a Most Valuable Resource." Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 then the presentation.

The cost for IEEE members and one guest is $22 or $25 per person. The cost for non-members is $44 or $50 per person. Those not eating dinner will be admitted free.

Reservations are required by Thursday. Checks are payable to IEEE Berkshire Section.

Pittsfield: BerkshireWorks to hold seminars

The BerkshireWorks Career Center has several seminars and events planned for the rest of this week.
Thursday: North County Job Search, 9 a.m.-noon at the Adams Visitors Center; 1-4 p.m. at the North Adams Public Library. Walk-ins are welcome.

Friday: Job Search Assistance, 9:30 a.m. to noon; Drop-in Career Counselor, 1-3 p.m.

High School Equivalency testing classes will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday. Pre-register with Kelly at (413) 399-2220 ext 145.

Williamstown: Investor seminar slated

Walter Lother, a financial adviser for Edward Jones in North Adams, will host a "Rules of the Road" seminar on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the David and Joyce Williamstown Public Library, 1095 Main St. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

The seminar will address how to avoid common investing mistakes; investing strategies to achieve long term goals; and how to prepare for retirement now.
