PITTSFIELD -- The Berkshire Visitors Bureau will hold its 2014 Eye on Travel marketing conference on Tuesday, March 18 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsfield. The hours are 1 to 5 p.m.
This year the conference will explore the importance of understanding international travelers and the positive economic effect these visitors will have on growing the local tourism industry.
Betsy Wall, the executive director of the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism, will attend with MOTT staff that specialize in international markets.
Sue Norrington-Davis, the managing director of Discover New England, will share current country trends. A special session about the emerging markets of China, Brazil and India will be key as new direct flights into Logan come online soon.
