Lenox: Berkshire IEEE C&C lunch May 8
The Berkshire Section of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers’ Computer & Control Chapter will hold a lunch meeting on Thursday, May 8, at the EPRI Lenox High Voltage Laboratory, 115 East New Lenox Road.
"The Future of ‘Computer’ (Are we in serious trouble?)" will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The presenter is Yale N. Patt, an instructor at the University of Texas at Austin. Lunch will be provided.
The cost is $4 for IEEE C&C Chapter members and one guest; $5 for IEEE members; $3 for all IEEE students; and $10 for non-IEEE members.

Waltham: Patriots president to speak at AIM
Jonathan Kraft, the president of both The Kraft Group and the New England Patriots, will be the keynote speaker when Associated Industries of Massachusetts holds its 99th annual meeting on Friday, May 9.
The event takes place from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westin Waltham Boston Hotel.
Kraft will speak on growing jobs and creating opportunity in the global knowledge economy.
The cost is $150 for AIM members, and $1,500 for a table of 10. The cost for non-members is $200 or $2,000 for a table of 10. The cost for government and students is $45. Information: www.aimnet.org.
Westfield: Hardy joins Tighe & Bond as COO
William Hardy has joined the Tighe & Bond engineering firm as chief operating officer, the company has announced.
In this role, Hardy will work with management to ensure optimum delivery service to Tighe & Bond’s expanding customer base across all of its geographic locations.
Tighe & Bond, which does civil and environmental engineering consulting, has offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire: Pocasset, Westfield, and Worcester in Massachusetts; Middletown and Shelton in Connecticut; and Portsmouth in New Hampshire. The firm has many Berkshire County clients.
