Lanesborough: BYP to hold networking social
The Berkshire Young Professionals will hold their June Networking Social on Thursday at Ramblewild Forest Adventures at 110 Brodie Mountain Road. Ramblewild is an aerial adventure park. The hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Park amenities will be open to BYP guests at no cost. All those planning to use the course should dress appropriately with either closed-toe shoes, sneakers or hiking boots. Light refreshments and soft-drinks will be provided. Equus Therapeutics Inc. is this month’s featured nonprofit. The event is free for BYP membership cardholders, and $5 for nonmembers. N. Adams: Whimsical Hoot to hold grand opening
Rachel Hernandez, the owner of A Whimsical Hoot Gift Shop on 18 Ashland St., will hold a grand opening on Tuesday, July 1. The store offers handpainted wine glasses, Disney-inspired high heels, comic book lamp and tables, lotions, body butter, body mist, lip balm, sugar scrubs, soy candles, painted canvas, glitter wine glasses and pottery inspired wands among other items. Springfield: 2 county students get scholarships
Two Berkshire County students are among the 16 local pupils who have received scholarships from the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts. They include Ethan Wells of Windsor, who will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and Steven Wojtkowski of Pittsfield, who attended Taconic High School. To be eligible for the $1,000 Home Builders & Remodelers Association Western Massachusetts Member Scholarship program, applicants had to be affiliated with a member or employee of a member company.
