Pittsfield: Collections manager joins museum
Britney Schline has joined the Berkshire Museum as collections manager, the museum has announced. Schline will oversee the museum’s permanent collection and work closely with the exhibition team that is led by the museum’s director of interpretation, Maria Mingalone. A Smithsonian affilate, Berkshire Museum holds encyclopedic collections that comprise more than 30,000 items. Schline is a recent graduate of the Cooperstown Graduate Program and holds a Master of Arts in museum studies. Before obtaining her graduate degree, Schline was decorative arts collection assistant at the Berkshire Museum, assisting the museum in cataloging its ceramic and Asian art collection under a grant program. She has also served in the collections department at the Fenimore Art Museum and New York State Historical Association, and was an Edward I. Koch Fellow at the Historic House Trust of New York City.
Springfield: STCC offers EMT program

Pittsfield: New Moon Gifts moves business
New Moon Gifts recently moved from Dalton to the Allendale Underground at 5 Cheshire Road, Suite 116. The independently owned business offers clothing, jewelry, incense, stones and crystals, oil, sage, natural body products and bonsai. The store’s target audience is men and women of all ages. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The business originally opened in Dalton in Juy 2012.
