NBT names Lenox branch assistant VP
John Bortolotto, the manager of NBT Bank's branch in Lenox, has been promoted to assistant vice president, the financial institution has announced.
Bortolotto joined NBT in 2011 as branch manager of the bank's Lee office. He became manager of the Lenox office when NBT opened that branch in 2012. Before joining NBT, Bortolotto served as branch manager for Legacy Banks in Lee.
A Pittsfield resident, Bortolotto holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts and an associate degree from Berkshire Community College.
He is a 2013 graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Banking, a 2012 graduate of the Berkshire Leadership Program, and most recently completed the commercial lending school at the Vermont Bankers Association.
Mount Carmel Care appoints director
Anne Ranolde has been named director of nursing services at Mount Carmel Care Center, according to administrator David Laplante. She assumed her new duties on July 7.
Ranolde has 36 years of senior care experience and leadership, most recently as a manager at Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Great Barrington where she served two years.
Prior to Fairview Commons, Ranolde spent 16 years in various leadership roles at Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield, where she served as director of nurses from 2011-2012.
Mount Carmel Care Center has earned consecutive annual deficiency-free (perfect) surveys by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. It is also rated a five-star facility by Medicare.gov (nursinghomecompare.org), which is the highest score that can by achieved in the nationwide rating system.
Bank renames mortgage division
Berkshire Bank has renamed its mortgage lending division Berkshire Bank Home Lending. This line of business includes a home lending call center, operations, servicing and a team of mortgage loan originators.
The business line will transition Berkshire's current mortgage affiliate, Greenpark Mortgage, into the Berkshire Bank Home Lending brand.
Berkshire has also launched a new consumer lending website, BerkshireBankHomeLending.com. The site features areas to get pre-approved for a mortgage, apply for a mortgage, and login to check on an application's status. It also includes helpful information on topics including: mortgage application checklists; calculators; glossary of terms; and homeowners insurance.
