Williamstown: Oak Consulting partner gains certification
Cathy Crosky of Williams town, a partner in Charter Oak Consulting Group Inc., has been certified
as an advanced facilitator by the Edward Lowe Foundation in Cassapolis, Mich.
She is among a selected group of 15 facilitators from around the world who facil itiate for Chapters for Women Presidents' Organi zation (WPO), a nonprofit membership organization for women presidents of multimillion dollar companies.
As part of her WPO duties, Crosky conductes a monthly roundtable in Holyoke for multimillion dollar women-owned and led companies. Crosky also facilitates 2 WomenUpFront roundtables in Berkshire County for women business owners of companies with under a $1 million in annual revenues.
She provides executive coaching, team development and large scale change consulting for Fortune 500 companies at Charter Oak Consulting Group.
Pittsfield: City native named Boston Bar treasurer
Pittsfield native Jonathan Albano has been named treasurer of the Boston Bar Associ a tion and its governing council for the 2014-15 pro gram year, ef fec tive Sept. 1.
A litigation partner at Bing ham McCut chen LLP's Bos ton office, the Weston resident is a trustee of the Boston Bar Foundation and a member of the BBA's Amicus Com mittee. He previously served as a member of the Boston Bar Association Council and as co-chair of the BBA's Civil Rights and Civil Liberties section.
Albano is a graduate of Boston College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and Boston College Law School, where he was executive editor of the Boston College Law Review. He has practiced at Bingham McCutchen since 1982.
The BBA is a nonprofit, voluntary membership organization of 11,000 attorneys drawn from private practices, corporations, government agencies, legal aid organization, the courts and law schools.
Great Barrington: BSRCC gets United Way grant
The Berkshire South Regional Community Center has received a $16,100 grant from the Berkshire United Way to partially sponsor BSRCC's Teen Leadership Training Program for the 2014-15 fiscal year.
The is the second year Berkshire United Way has provided funding to this
TLT, a key program in the community center's multifaceted Youth Intervention/Prevention Curriculum, involves three weeks of experiential learning for youths age 13-15.
