State gas prices drop another eight cents
There seems to be no letup in the decline of state gas prices.
With the price of crude oil below the $30 per barrel mark last week, the lowest level in 12 years, state gas prices have dropped another eight cents, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA's survey of state gas prices on Monday found self-served regular unleaded averaging $1.87 per gallon. That price is two cents lower than the national average. A year ago at this time the state's average price was 28 cents higher at $2.15.
The range of prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 49 cents, from a low of $1.70 to a high of $2.19.
