Clyne named VP of sales & marketing at RTR
Kevin Clyne has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at RTR Technologies, the company has announced.
A software, electrical and systems engineer with experience in the aircraft and rail industries, Clyne heads up RTR's sales of winter weather technology components for rail industries.
RTR designs, manufactures and distributes components that prevent freezing of third rails, switch points and overhead catenary wires powering above-ground trolley lines.
Boy Scouts name district executive in Berkshires
Ruthann Eagen has been named district executive for the Appalachian Trail District (Berkshire County) by the Western Massachusetts Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Eagen joined the Nassau County Law Enforcement Exploring Program, an initiative of the Boy Scouts of America, when she was 14.
She holds an associates degree in liberal arts and a business administration certificate from Nassau Community College, a bachelor's degree in criminology from SUNY-Old Westbury and is working on her master's degree in human service and leadership from St. Joseph's College.
Four slated to receive Berkshire Awards
Jane Burke, Sandra Burton, Don Quinn Kelley and Lola Jaffe have been named the recipients of the fourth annual Berkshire Awards for making significant contributions to creating, keeping, and promoting artistic, historical, and natural heritage in the Berkshires.
They will be honored at an awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 4 at the Berkshire Museum.
Burke is the founder and executive director of the Flying Cloud Institute in New Marlborough; Burton and Quinn Kelley are community developers and founding steering committee members of the Lift Ev'ry Voice Festival; and Jaffe is the founder of the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington.
