Aitken named general manager of Country Club of Pittsfield
Following a nationwide search of qualified candidates, Melissa Aitken has been named the new general manager at the Country Club of Pittsfield, according to the board of directors.
Aitken holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts' Isenberg School of Management. She has over 11 years of proven sales, marketing and management experience, including the last eight at the Country Club of Pittsfield.
She has previously served as the club's director of sales and marketing, catering manager and assistant to the general manager.
Gregory Knight has also been nominated as president of the club's board of directors. The vice president and owner of Wheeler & Taylor Inc., Knight has been a member of the Country Club since 1983, and has served two terms on the board of directors.
Greylock holds ribbon cutting to officially open Lenox branch
The Greylock Federal Credit Union held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Lenox branch on Feb. 9. The office is located at 68 Main St. in the Village Center shopping area.
To show its commitment to the Lenox community, Greylock will be supporting several local events including free concerts in Lilac Park and the upcoming Lenox 250th anniversary celebration.
RMV partnering with Councils on Aging in elderly program
MassDOT and the Registry of Motor Vehicles have launched "RMV Near Me" with statewide Councils on Aging to provide additional service locations where senior citizens can receive assistance processing routine registry transactions online. Councils on Aging in Adams, Great Barrington, Pittsfield, and Sheffield are participating in the program.
