Architect named to AIA College of Fellows

Margo P. Jones, principal of Jones Whitsett Architects of Greenfield, a firm that has been involved with many Berkshire County projects, has been nominated and elected into the American Institute of Architects' College of Fellows.

The AIA's 2016 Jury of Fellows elevated 149 AIA members to the College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to their profession. She will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the AIA Convention in Philadelphia in May.

Jones was nominated in recognition of the leadership in the field and her service to the communities of Western Massachusetts.

Jones Whitsett (formerly Margo Jones Architects), was involved in the renovations to the Ted Shawn Dance Theater at Jacob's Pillow in Becket. The firm's work on the Colegrove Park Elementary School in North Adams is being considered for a Massachusetts Historic Commission Preservation Award.

Maurice joins Main Street Hospitality Group team

Anne-Juliette Maurice has been appointed vice president of operations for Main Street Hospitality Group, the organization has announced.

In her new position, Maurice will work closely with Main Street CEO Sarah Eustis and other key company leaders to expand on the company's vision and overall mission.


Maurice has 27 years of hospitality experience most recently with the Hotel Plaza in Athenee, N.Y. where she served as general manager. She has also served in various management positions in New York, Boston and Miami.

Millenial attraction & retention event in April

1Berkshire in conjunction with the Berkshire Initiative for Growth (B.I.G.) will host an event on attracting and retaining a millenial workforce on Wednesday, April 13.

"Our Next B.I.G. Idea: Understanding the Future of Work and How to Attract and Retain Millennials" will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre.

The event will feature remarks from Brad Lande, CEO of Live in the Grey; and a panel discussion including Berkshire CEOs who have embraced unique workplace philosophies.
