Eichorn, Viel join Harrison Design Associates
Mark S. Eichorn and Robert R. Viel Jr. have joined Harrison Design Associate as both architectural designers and project managers.
A resident of North Adams, Eichorn has more than 20 years of experience in the design and building industry. He spent eight years as an architectural project manager with the firm Pamela Sandler AIA in Stockbridge, and three years at William Caligari Interiors/Architecture in Great Barrington. Eichorn studied architectural and building engineering technology at Vermont Technical College where he graduated in 1992.
Viel has more than 19 years experience in architectural and interior design. A Springfield resident, Viel most recently served five years as sole designer/draftsman at Kohl Construction in Hadley, while managing his own architectural designs studio. He previously spent 10 years at Pamela Sander AIA as senior designer, job captain and draftsman. He graduates from Wentworth Institute of Technology's School of Architecture with a bachelor of architecture degree in 1999.
BTCF announces second round of grant deadlines
The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation has released its second round of deadlines for competitive grants in 2016, which covers the period from April to June.
Nonprofits: Applications for the Wasserman-Streit Y'diyah Memorial Fund are due April 1; nominations for the Fund for Williamstown's DeMayo Bright Futures Innovation Award are due April 15.
Students: Applications for the 30 individual scholarship funds Berkshire Taconic administers for students who plan to attend an accredited college, university of graduate program are due April 1, unless otherwise noted.
