Berkshire Bank honors employees for volunteerism
Berkshire Bank has honored 31 employees for their volunteerism in the community and named three "top volunteers" through the bank's Volunteer Service X-ellence Awards Program.
This year's Volunteer X-ellence Award winners includes one Berkshire County employee, Dan Elias of Pittsfield. A teller, Elias received the Volunteer Service X-ellence Award for his individual service outside the bank's corporate program. His donation was made to the Catholic Youth Center.
The other Berkshire employees who were honored for their volunteerism include Erin Albert of Lee, and Theresa Anderson, Suzanne Byrne, Ann Ciepiela, Scott Cowlin, Joshua Cutler, David Gonci, Gary Levante, Leonard O'Dea, and Gary Urkevich of Pittsfield.
Berkshire County Arc raises $650 in MS Walk
Fifteen individuals from Berkshire County Arc's Residential Program recently participated in the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society's Walk.
The team raised $650 as part of the event, which will support groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs, and guarantee a supportive environment for those who need it most.
Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit, tax exempt, human services organization which offers a broad range of community-based services to individuals.
Cranwell names Rankin as new executive chef
James Rankin has been named the new executive chef at Cranwell Spa & Golf Resort.
A native of the United Kingdom, Rankin relocated to the United States at age 19. In the past 20 years he has accumulated executive and sous chef experience at different resorts in both America and England.
