Admission is $6 for students and $9 for adults.
Gregg has written a romantic science fiction play and has selected North Adams to inaugurate his latest work. he has been named by the Educational Theatre Association as the most popular playwright in America, in the short play category, for 14 years.
Dr. Len Radin, district drama coordinator of the North Adams Public Schools, said in a news release that the team is honored to have been awarded the privilege of presenting the first official production of the play.
In this story of self-discovery, Whit, a teen-aged girl, is transported through time and space and finds herself surrounded by strange creatures.
In her struggle to return home, she battles evil forces and confronts her own demons.
Local professional artists have joined the students to create an alien setting for the production. David Lane created 10-foot-tall aliens for the play.
Artists Tiger and Ron Waterman created an environment on stage composed of set pieces and projected images, while drama team alumni Matt McConnell wrote original music for the production.
