Town Manager Ken Walto said officials want these properties back on the tax rolls generating revenue.
The auction will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Crane Room of Town Hall, 462 Main St. The auction will be conducted by Daniel J. Flynn & Co.
Two of the properties have houses on them. There will be an open house for interested parties on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The properties to be sold are:
n 362 East Housatonic St., 18 undeveloped acres, assessed at $76,200.
n 336 East Housatonic St., 0.5 undeveloped acres, assessed at $42,800.
n 64 Jennings Ave., 0.5 undeveloped acres, assessed at $54,300.
n 458 East St., 1/3 acre with a six-room house, assessed at $60,800.
n 194 High St., 1/4 acre with a six room house, assessed at $142,100.
n 91-93 Carson Ave., less than 1/4 undeveloped acre, assessed at $13,200.
n 210 Washington Mountain Road, 18 undeveloped acres, assessed at $103,600.
Walto said the two houses are "in pretty rough shape, fixer-uppers at best."
Anyone wishing to bid in the properties will need to submit a certified bank check for $2,500. In the event a bidder wins, the check will serve as a deposit on the purchase, with the remainder to be paid within 30 days.
