North Adams woman denies drug charges

A North Adams woman denied drug charges at her arraignment Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court.

Eden J. LeMaire, 20, of Walnut Street was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty to drug possession and conspiracy charges stemming from an April 2 search of the Willows Motel in Williamstown. The investigation was conducted by the Berkshire County Drug Task Force. Pittsfield:

Man released after denying drug rap

A Pittsfield man denied drug charges at his arraignment Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court.

Robert A. Williams, 25, of View Street was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty to two counts of cocaine distribution and one count of cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

The charges stem from a Pittsfield police investigation into alleged drug incidents involving Williams in March 2009 and this past April and June.

Pittsfield:

Not guilty plea in apartment arson

A North Adams woman denied arson and other charges at her arraignment Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court.

Bernadette Burdick, 53, of Brayton Hill Terrace was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty to single counts of burning a dwelling and burning personal property.

According to police and prosecutors, Burdick set fire to a Liberty Street apartment in August 2008, damaging the structure and items inside the building.

Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the state Fire Marshal's Office handled the investigation.
