PITTSFIELD -- City police remain at the scene of a train-pedestrian accident that killed a man on the railroad tracks along Depot Street this evening.

Police say an unidentified male was struck by a CSX locomotive while apparently walking along the tracks at about 7:10 p.m.

The victim was pinned under the train engine.

The accident occurred several hundred yards behind Baba Louie's restaurant.
