PITTSFIELD -- The Tyler Aces had another huge offensive afternoon at Clapp Park in a 16-4 rout of Lenoxdale.
The Aces scored at least one run from the second inning on, ending the game on the run rule with a grand slam from Andrew Leitch in the sixth inning. Eric Leitch was 2 for 3 with a double, triple and two RBI while Billy New was 3 for 3, driving in two runs.
We're starting to jell as a team," Aces coach Bill Dassat said. "We have a lot of new players. We're carrying a full squad. We got a nice team. It's just trying to get the right mix. I think we've stumbled onto something."

Post 68 6, North Adams 1
NORTH ADAMS -- Liam Nolan allowed just three hits and one run, while striking out seven to lead Post 68.
"He established his curveball and changeup early, which made his fastball much better," Post 68 coach Jim Mazzer said. "He and Ringo [Andrew Ringie] behind the plate, seemed to be on the same page all night."
Post 68 also got off to a good start against North Adams starter Max Quinn. Pittsfield pushed three runs across the plate in the first two innings.
Peter Gregory picked up two RBI in the game. Rory Slattery went 3 for 3, and walked. Zach Neary was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple.
Chase Preite had two of the three hits for North Adams. The loss was the third straight for North Adams after it won four straight to start the season.

Keene 5, North Adams 2
KEENE, N.H. -- The SteepleCats blew an early 2-0 lead when Keene scored five times in the third.
North Adams scored on an error in the first and a Bryan Soloman RBI single in the third before the wheels came off. A bases-loaded walk by SteepleCats starter Tyler Badamo followed later in the third by a three-run homer from Jared Walsh did most of the damage.
Badamo took the loss, allowing five runs in just 22 3 innings. Artie Lewicki got the win, allowing just three hits over six innings. North Adams had five hits total. The SteepleCats left seven men on base.
Torrington 7, Pittsfield 4
TORRINGTON, Conn. -- The Suns scored four runs late to make this interesting, but an early 7-0 deficit was too much.
Neither losing pitcher Tom Darby nor reliever Jason Condit had much success. Both gave up five hits and at least three runs. Rich Graef had two doubles for the Titans, while Kevin Lum drove in two. It could have been even worse, considering the hosts stranded 15 runners.
Pittsfield had just three hits through the first seven innings before gaining traction in the eighth. After a double by Paul Speicher and a single by Rob McLam, Speicher came home on an error. McLam would later score on a passed ball.
The Suns scored twice in the ninth. Brendan Slattery came home on a fielder's choice before Zach Theylen scored on a sacrifice fly. The rally ended when Michael Rueger flew out to end the game.
