PITTSFIELD -- Officials of the Obama Vic tory Fund 2012 have released specific ticket information for Michelle Obama’s campaign appearance on Friday, Aug. 3 at the Colonial Theatre.
The program features a one-hour concert by James Taylor with backup singers Kim Taylor and Kate Markowitz, as well as cello accompaniment by the Boston Symphony’s Owen Young, a longtime collaborator with the singer-songwriter.
The first lady will precede her local appearance with a $2,500-a-plate luncheon at Springfield’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and follow it with a dinner and discussion at Gov. Deval Patrick’s Richmond home. That by-invitation event, which includes a contribution of $20,000 per person, is limited to 20 people.

On Friday afternoon, a reservation form was posted on the website that showed $125 tickets for the Obama reception at the Colonial are sold out. The availability for $250 general seating and $500 reserved seating tickets was limited.
But for high rollers, the $2,500 reserved seats still remain. They include a "photo opportunity" with the first lady.

Under federal law, the website asks for both occupation and employment information for anyone planning to spend $200 or more to attend the event.
Seven other statements on the website ask contributors to verify whether those statements are "true and accurate."
While credit cards are accepted, the contributions to the Obama Victory Fund 2012 are not tax-deductible.
The form also explains how major contributions to the fund will be allocated -- a portion of tickets above $5,000 will be directed to the Democratic National Committee.
