BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -- A high-speed chase in Bridgeport resulted in two collisions involving police cars and a motorcycle that was run over by a police cruiser.
The Connecticut Post reports (http://bit.ly/QTp5c1 ) that a crowd gathered after the Saturday incident and accused police of deliberately striking the rider and endangering the lives of nearby children.
A police department spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
Three blocks away, another police cruiser collided with an unmarked police car during the same chase.
The chase began with a report of a robbery by one or two men on a motorbike. A Stratford police cruiser also was on the scene.
