PITTSFIELD -- A Pittsfield man will be facing his fourth charge of operating a vehicle under the influence after crashing his car into a snowbank while making a right turn from Pecks Road on to Valentine Road, according to police officials.
Sean Carnevale, 45, will also be charged with driving using a revoked license. According to police, Carnevale entered Johnnie's Variety Store on Pecks Road at about 11:30 a.m. to purchase liquor. The cashier refused to sell him alcohol because he appeared to be under the influence and then immediately called police after Carnevale exited the store.
According to police, he got into his car and then crashed into a snowbank on Pecks Road fewer than 100 yards down the road while trying to make a right turn onto Valentine Road.
If found guilty, Carnevale could face a minimum of one year in jail, police said.
Carnevale posted bail on Saturday on $500 bail, according to police. He will be arraigned on Tuesday.
