LEE -- Emily Rosse scored 18 points and Hoosac Valley used an explosive third quarter to defeat Lee, 52-38 on Thursday night.
The Wildcats were playing without last year's All-Eagle MVP Stephanie Young, out indefinitely with a shoulder injury.
Eileen Dooley led the Wildcats with 18 points, while Meg Rodowicz had 14 for Hoosac.

EAST LONGMEADOW -- The Generals (10-4) clinched a spot in the Western Massachusetts Division I tournament with the win.
"This is one step in the right direction," said PHS coach Joe Racicot. "To win one at their place is a big accomplishment."
The accomplishment was bigger because due to defense and foul trouble, Courtney McLaughlin was held to two points. But Dominique Satrape stepped up to score a game-high 22 for the Generals.
South Hadley 55,
NORTH ADAMS -- A hot-shooting South Hadley squad jumped out quickly and held off the Hornets.
Mary Nguyen led the home side with 10 points. Lexie Gawron led all scorers with 12 for the Tigers.
Mount Everett boys 52, Pioneer Valley 39
SHEFFIELD -- Colby Rueger's 17 points led the Eagles to this win at home.
St. Joe's, Hoosac split
PITTSFIELD -- Connor Lein picked up wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle to anchor the St. Joseph's boys second victory of the year, 48-25 over Hoosac Valley on Thursday night.
The Hurricane girls, led by Julia Whitney in the 100 and 200 freestyle,
"The boys had some strong swims, and picked up a lot of firsts," said St. Joseph's coach Shannon McMahon about the boys' win.
Brandon Engle had wins in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle for the Crusaders.
Keith Pero was a double winner for Hoosac in the 100 breast and 200 freestyle.
For the Crusader girls, Aileen Archambault won the 500 freestyle.
W. Springfield 42,
WEST SPRINGFIELD -- Taconic coach Matt Chamberlain said that he knew it would be tough with an undermanned squad, but the Braves acquitted themselves well.
"They're one of the top teams in the state," he said. "I was happy with the way we wrestled."
Every Taconic win was by pin. Travis Kuni needed only 14 seconds at 160 pounds to pin John Witman.
