PITTSFIELD -- An increase in the price of crude oil caused gasoline prices in Massachusetts to jump 14 cents this week, says AAA Southern New England.
The price of a gallon of self-serve regular unleaded averages $3.59 per gallon in Massachusetts, according to AAA's weekly survey of gas prices.
This week's jump, added to a four cent increase last week, means gas prices across the state have jumped almost 20 cents in the last two weeks.
The state's current average price is seven cents above the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.52. The state average one year ago was $3.49.
