SPRINGFIELD (AP) -- Springfield police are investigating an armed robbery at a city convenience store in which one suspect was carrying a rifle.
Police say two men dressed all in black and with the hoods on their sweat shirts up to partially hide their faces entered Downtown Convenience on Worthington Street just after 9:30 p.m. Monday, grabbed about $300 from the cash register and some cigarettes and fled on foot.
On the way out, they dropped a magazine for the rifle.
The suspects were described as Hispanic males.
Police scoured the area but could not find the men.
