As for leads, Police Chief Stephen O'Brien said: "We're following up on some information gleaned during the early Wednesday midnight shift."
O'Brien urged anyone with information, especially potential clues developed from video surveillance systems, to contact the police station at 413-637-2346.
Editor's Clarification: Second Home, a business at 53 Church St. in Lenox, was among the seven stores broken into on Tuesday night. It is described by its owner, Suzannah Van Schaick, as a "boutique featuring upcycled home furnishings and accessories." It is not a real estate firm, as reported in Thursday's Eagle.
