NORTH ADAMS -- A second suspect is being held without bail following a drug bust in Williamstown last weekend that netted 38 bags of heroin.

Ashley Pelletier, 23, of North Pownal, Vt., was detained Wednesday following a probation violation hearing in Northern Berkshire District Court.

Police raided a room at the Howard Johnson Motel in Williamstown Nov. 2 where they found heroin and more than $5,000 in cash, according to a criminal complaint written by Williamstown Police Officer Shuan William. The Berkshire County Drug Task Force conducted the operation.

Judge Michael Ripps continued the violation hearing to Nov. 12, but ordered Pelletier be detained in Berkshire County Jail & House of Correction until her next appearance, according to court documents.

The court cited impending charges of class A drug possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug law charges as a violation of Pelletier's probation.

Pelletier will be arraigned on the drug charges Nov. 12 in Northern Berkshire District Court.

Pelletier is on probation due to charges of forgery of a check uttering a false check, operating under the influence and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license that were continued without a finding until 2014.

Luis Agosto, 33, of Springfield, was arraigned on charges of class A drug possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug law in relation to the raid earlier this week.

In addition to Agosto and Pelletier, three others will be charged in relation to the incident, according to the police report.
